At the French Open, one of the four major tennis tournaments, the mixed doubles quarterfinals were held, and the pair of Miyui Kato and the German player defeated the Brazilian pair in straight sets to reach the last four.

Kato and Germany's Tim Putz faced Brazil's Luisa Stefani and Rafael Matos in the quarterfinals of the mixed doubles tournament on the ninth day of the French Open on the 9th.

Kato wrote on social media that the ball hit the opponent's court in the third round of the women's doubles match on the 5th, and that was considered a dangerous act and Kato's pair were disqualified and eliminated.

In the first set, Kato's pair succeeded in breaking first in the early stages, but conceded a break immediately after the match, and from the fourth game, they continued to maintain their service games and went into the tiebreak.

In the tiebreak, Kato's pair grabbed a set point first, and Kato's serve invited their opponent to miss the return and take the set 4-3.

In the second set, Putz won a rally in the third game and took the break first, then rode the momentum to take three games in a row from the sixth game, and finally Putz scored a powerful volley to take a 1-4 lead.

Kato's pair won the set count 7-6 in straight sets to advance to the last four.
