PSG reportedly in advanced talks with Nagelsmann

After his forced departure from FC Bayern Munich, talks between Julian Nagelsmann and Paris Saint-Germain about a new commitment as coach are now said to be well advanced. According to several media reports, including the French sports newspaper "L'Equipe", the club from the French capital have made the 35-year-old "its priority" as a possible successor to the outgoing Christophe Galtier.

Contact has been in place for several weeks, and the negotiations are currently progressing rapidly. However, there is no talk of an imminent agreement. There is already a plan for the potential Nagelsmann assistant: Thierry Henry. The 1998 French World Cup winner gained his first experience on the sidelines as an attacking coach of the Belgian national team and could support Nagelsmann if a deal is reached.

Nagelsmann had to leave Bayern at the end of March, Thomas Tuchel took over for him. Bayern were then eliminated from the cup and the Champions League. On the last Bundesliga matchday, they celebrated at least the eleventh championship in a row. In France, PSG has a similarly exceptional role as Bayern in the Bundesliga, the team has just become champion again, and yet the season is considered a disappointment because the real goal was clearly missed: the Champions League title. In the competition, Paris failed in the round of sixteen. Opponents: FC Bayern, coached by Nagelsmann.

Real Madrid apparently want to sign Havertz

After 14 years at the club, Real Madrid club legend Karim Benzema has announced his departure. According to media reports, Kai Havertz has already been chosen as a new transfer target for the attack. The 23-year-old Germany international is on the list of the Royals, according to several media, including the Spanish sports newspaper »Marca«. Havertz made 47 appearances and scored nine goals for Chelsea across all competitions this season. However, in the bloated squad of the Londoners, he has numerous competitors.

Chelsea finished only twelfth in the Premier League. With Real, he could compete in the Champions League. The German professionals Toni Kroos and Antonio Rüdiger are also under contract with the Madrilenians.

Michel wants to leave the Union

A year and a half ago, Sven Michel from Paderborn (60 goals in 161 games) joined Union Berlin as a striker hope. Instead, the Dutchman Sheraldo Becker played big and Michel was left with only the role of substitute.

Now the striker is apparently flirting with a move. This is reported by the »Bild«. The 32-year-old striker, who has a contract with the Irons until 30 June 2024, made 29 competitive appearances and scored 6 goals last season. Among other things, second division club Hannover 96 is said to be interested.

Baumgartner likely to move from Hoffenheim to Leipzig

Christoph Baumgartner of Bundesliga club TSG Hoffenheim is apparently on the verge of a move to DFB Cup winners RB Leipzig. As the »Kicker« reported, the transfer of the 23-year-old is said to be on the home stretch. The transfer fee for the Austrian is said to be 24 million euros.

Leipzig seems to want to take precautions with the change. RB's attacker Dominik Szoboszlai had recently spoken of a move offensively and is traded to Newcastle United. However, Baumgartner is not primarily to be brought in as a possible replacement, but rather to strengthen the attacking midfield.

Interested clubs have until 15 July to draw the release clause in Szoboszlai's contract of over 2026 million euros, which runs until 70.
