Already in the team's debut season in 2017-2018, Vegas made it all the way to the Stanley Cup Final but fell to Washington. Now the team and Karlsson once again have the chance to win the title.
"I feel a little more calm now than I was last time," Karlsson told SVT Sport.
Vegas has been a top team ever since they entered the NHL, but the fact that Florida has made it to the finals is a big bang. It is their first final since 1996.
"They are a very good team. They don't give up anytime soon. They have a very good goalkeeper," Karlsson said of the final opposition.
But even outside of hockey, big things are happening for Karlsson. On May 12, he and his wife Emily Karlsson had their first child, a son named Beckham, named after the football player. For William Karlsson, the spring has therefore meant both the playoffs and getting used to being a new parent.
"It's been good. My wife does a great job. Beckham is just chilling, he's doing baby stuff. He has been very simple. He has been a laidback, a bit like his father, says Karlsson.
