At 26, Océane Dodin played for the second time a second-round match at Roland-Garros after 2017, but never went beyond this stage of the tournament or any other Grand Slam.

The defeat of Océane Dodin adds to that of Diane Parry earlier in the day and now only Arthur Rinderknech in the men's draw can ensure a French presence in the third round. He must face the American Taylor Fritz (8th) at the end of the program on the court Suzanne-Lenglen.

«

She plays very hard, so we had to vary a lot, make cushions... Besides, the audience was really with her, so I did my best," commented Jabeur.

It is therefore the Tunisian, who played the final at Wimbledon and the US Open last year, but has never exceeded the 8th at Roland-Garros (reached in 2020 and 2021), who will face the Italian Jasmine Paolini (53rd) or the Serbian Olga Danilovic (105th) in the third round.

Jabeur, the former world No. 2, won her first victory on the circuit at Roland Garros in the first round since injuring her calf in the semifinals in Stuttgart in April.
