Mirra Andreeva shines in her grand slam debut. The 16-year-old (ranked 143) won today against Diane Parry (ranked 79).
She is thus in the third round of the tournament. The talent is humble after the victory (6-1, 6-2).
"I try to keep my feet on the ground. I haven't had much success yet. I haven't won any tournaments, I'm just playing.
"Gotta do some schoolwork"
The super talent was asked how she would celebrate today's advancement.
"I don't know. I'm just a normal teenager. I like to watch TV series and go to school. I have to do some schoolwork actually," she says.
