Solidarity with Brazilian Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior moved to his country's league, in a match between Flamengo and Cruzeiro, two of the biggest clubs in the country of "samba".

The Brazil international was again subjected to racist abuse during a Mestalla match against Valencia on 21 November.

Fans at the Mestalla at Valencia Stadium chanted racist insults against the Brazilian during a confrontation between the two teams last Sunday, and the player accused Spain and the league of negligence in the face of these actions, which led to the arrest of a number of fans.

After the referee blew the first whistle, the players did not start the match or touch the ball, but sat with the referees on the pitch, and after half a minute, amid the interaction of the crowd, the players stood up and the referee blew the whistle again to start the match.

Flamengo, the former Finney team, also wore T-shirts that read with "Vinnie Jr."

In the stands of the MaracanĂŁ stadium, thousands of fans carried banners reading "Everyone with Vinnie Junior".
