Sweden reaped success at the British Championships this weekend. Emilia Nilsson Garip won gold in both one meter and three meters.

"It was clearly above my expectations. I might have hoped for a medal, but maybe not gold," she says.

In the one-metre weight, Garip Nilsson struck with a total score of 285 – which is a new personal best.

In three meters (the jumps can be seen in the player above) she won in 313.85.

"I've gone in myself and looked at the jumps afterwards and listened when they commented. You learn quite a lot from it and hear what they like about the jumps.

What's it like to see the jumps in retrospect?

"I'm very surprised and satisfied. I received a lot of nice comments.

"Tough competition"

Garip Nilsson explains why she – and a number of other Swedish representatives – competed at the British Championships:

"It's a very good competition with tough competition. It is close to the European Championships which is three weeks away. The British are skilled and good to be up against. Then you know roughly how you stand before a European Championship. At the same time, it is a fun competition with a good arrangement.
