The Sevillian goalkeeper Sergio Rico, currently in the staff of Paris Saint Germain (PSG), is admitted to the Virgen del Rocío Hospital, in Seville, where he has been transferred this Sunday after falling from a horse in the village of El Rocío (Huelva) and suffering a cranioencephalic trauma, health sources told EFE.

The goalkeeper, 29 years old and formed in the quarry of Sevilla, in whose first team he was from the 2014-15 season to the 2018-19, was this Saturday summoned with his team for the penultimate game of the French league, which played in Strasbourg, where he tied one and was proclaimed champion of the tournament.

Sergio Rico, after that game, moved to El Rocío, where these days his pilgrimage is celebrated, and it was this morning when he suffered the mishap that led to his transfer to the Sevillian hospital.

The goal, after his time at Sevilla, went through the English Fulham, then hired by PSG, which last season transferred him to Real Mallorca to return to the Parisian team, in which he is a regular substitute.
