24-year-old Mirjam Björklund, ranked 159 in the world, failed to qualify for the grand slam tournament French Open. In the final hurdle, she lost in the third and decisive set to Clara Tauson.

The 20-year-old Dane won the first set 7-5, but was disturbed by the line judge who ruled out her serve three times for foot errors.

"Oh my God, I wasn't even close to the line," Tauson yells during the game.

"I could tell by my shoe mark in the gravel that I didn't hit the line. So to me it's a bit ridiculous, but I can't do anything about it. I'll have to take it," she then tells Ekstrabladet.

"Belongs here"

Björklund equalized to 1–1 in sets via 7–3 in the tie-break. In the second set, the Dane broke her serve instantly, the Swede managed to break back. But then in the third game, Björklund dropped his serve again – and then Tauson secured qualification for the French Open via a 6-2 set.

"I know I belong here, I know I can play well and hopefully win a game as well," Tauson said.

Last year, Björklund qualified for both the French Open and Wimbledon.

Rebecca Peterson will play the French Open and will face French qualifier Fiona Ferro in the first round.
