At the Nordic Championships in Copenhagen, Henrik Larsson won the final of the 100 metres. The 23-year-old, who took bronze in the 60 metres at the European Indoor Championships earlier this year, ran to the finish line in 10.09.

Eleven hundredths faster than his personal best and nine hundredths faster than the Swedish record from 1996. But Peter Karlsson will continue to be the record holder – the wind measured + 2.4 meters/second, which is 0.4 for a strong tailwind.

Win in the comeback for Kamga

Discus thrower Vanessa Kamga, who broke her finger a month ago, also triumphed. In her second post-injury competition, she threw 57.39, about three meters shorter than her personal best.

"So proud that I am opening the season with gold at the Nordic Championships, after I broke my middle finger on the throwing hand four weeks ago," Vanessa Kamga wrote on Instagram.

High jumper Melvin Lycke Holm equalled his personal best, the 18-year-old managed 2.18 and won ahead of Finnish Daniel Kosonen who tore himself out on the high.
