Rosengård, which won the Swedish Championship in both 2022 and 2021, had a weak start to the season. The first victory came only in the fourth round. After nine games played, the team is seventh in the Damallsvenska table, eight points behind Piteå who leads.

"I don't try to look at the table so much. We are where we are and know that we had a very bad start. Then we have turned it around and we have dropped points against top teams, which you can do no matter what phase you are in, says Rosengård's sports director Therese Sjögran.

Sjögran is aware that a lot can happen during the summer and that players can be recruited but also leave.

"This is when all clubs in Europe are signing, their seasons are starting. So I'm prepared for things to happen this summer. We want to make some changes as well, so definitely we are looking at how we can strengthen the squad, but also if we get rid of players that we don't want to get rid of. So absolutely, we're pretty far advanced in those plans.

Are any of your players pulling it off?

– Not concretely, but there is interest.

What types of players are you looking to spice up the squad with?

"Our squad is very good and it's broad, but we'd like to sharpen it up a bit. If we're going to recruit anything, it's quality. We tried to sharpen up the squad last winter but didn't find the right one, so it's something we've been working on in the spring so I hope we can stitch something together for the next window.
