The last time Norway managed to beat Canada in ice hockey was at the 2000 World Championships. Today it happened again.

The pre-calculated Norwegian team won after penalties (3–2).

"I really have to commend Norway for this effort. It's really strong, says SVT Sports expert Håkan Loob.

He is less impressed with the Canadian team.

"It's totally unstructured. Not a single chain has played well together," says Loob.

Great anger on the Norwegian bench: "Crazy"

In the final stages of the match, great drama unfolded. Norway led with eleven seconds remaining, but Canada equalized after a ruling that Loob is critical of.

"A Canadian sends the puck straight into the Norwegian booth from a faceoff. Then the next tekning should reasonably be outside the Norwegian zone, he says.

The tekning was instead carried out in Norway's zone. The decision caused Norway's head coach Tobias Johansson to anger on the bench.

"They are absolutely crazy on the bench. I understand if they are very upset there, says Loob about the incident that can be seen above.

Despite the victory, Norway has no chance of advancing to the playoffs. They are in sixth place in the group. Canada is third ahead of the final group stage match.
