Tre Kronor has started the Ice Hockey World Championship with five straight wins. Defender Henrik Tömmernes has poured in points and is listed for eight assists.

With that, he leads the assists league in the World Cup – and is second in the entire scoring league.

"Of course, it feels good to be involved and contribute. At the same time, all respect to Hungary and France, but that's where I've scored most of my points," said the 32-year-old.

Three new assists

He made three assists in Saturday's win over France.

"It's good for confidence before the end of the tournament," says the defenceman, who is ready for Frölunda for next season.

However, he was not entirely satisfied with the Swedish game against France.

"No big game from our side. We release to modes that we have not done before. But the main thing was to take three points.

Tre Kronor's next group stage match is on Monday. Then Denmark awaits.
