Egypt's Al Ahly qualified for the CAF Champions League final after winning again against rivals Esperance of Tunisia 1-4 on Friday in the second leg of the semifinals to qualify with a <>-<> aggregate victory.

Al Ahly beat Esperance 3-<> in the first leg last week in Rades, Tunisia, reaching the final of the African Champions League for the fourth time in a row.

Hussein Al-Shahat gave his Al-Ahly team the goal of progress in the 22nd minute after he received a longitudinal pass from South African Percy Tau to start Al-Shahat and put the ball in the far left corner of goalkeeper Sidqi Al-Dabshi the moment he went out to meet him.

Al Ahly will meet in the final with the winner of Morocco's Wydad and Mamelodi Sundowns, where they will meet tomorrow, Saturday, in the second leg of the semifinals.

The two teams had a goalless draw in the first leg, which was held last Saturday in Morocco.

With this qualification, Al Ahly has achieved a unique achievement by reaching for the sixth time the final of the African Champions League in the last seven editions of the continental tournament.

Al Ahly is the record holder in winning the tournament, having won the title 10 times, the last in 2021, and finished runners-up 5 times, the last of which last year when they lost to Morocco's Wydad in the final.
