The heavy defeat suffered by Real Madrid against Manchester City in the second leg of the Champions League semi-finals, will not go unnoticed by the club "royal", according to a Spanish report.

Real Madrid bid farewell to the prestigious competition after drawing the first leg of the semi-finals at home 1-1, before losing by a heavy result in the second leg 4-0, which caused a state of boiling in the corridors of the Royal Club, specifically President Florentino Pérez, and the club's sports management.

It seems that Perez is about to undergo a revolution in the ranks of the team, as the Spanish newspaper "Sport" highlighted the future of 15 elements of Real Madrid, including Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti, we review them in the following lines.

Carlo Ancelotti

There has been a lot of talk about Ancelotti's future lately, after his name was linked with coaching the Brazil national team, until Real Madrid president Florentino Perez came out, and confirmed that the Italian will continue in his position until the end of his contract in 2024.

However, the heavy loss from Manchester City may prompt the club's management to reconsider the coach's case and move towards the option of signing a new coach before the start of next season.

Lucas Vazquez

Next summer, Vázquez will be 32 years old, with his current contract expiring in June 2024.

This season, Vázquez has not reached a thousand minutes in all competitions, which means that he has lost his importance with the team, and is close to leaving.

Andrey Lunin

The Ukrainian goalkeeper has had no role with Real Madrid all season, and even in some of the games he played when Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois was absent, he did not offer anything to help him stay.

Real Madrid will not mind his departure and will look for a better replacement for Courtois.

Jesús Vallejo

Ancelotti has only counted on Vallejo in 88 minutes in all competitions this season, and although he has a contract with Real Madrid until the summer of 2025, his immediate future will be outside the Santiago Bernabeu.

Alvaro Odroyozola

Another forgotten player of the current season with Ancelotti, although the club cut his loan from Fiorentina, the Italian coach pushed him in just 92 minutes in all competitions, which clearly indicates the player's lack of importance in Real Madrid's project, and brings him closer to leaving.

Nacho Fernandez

He is one of Real Madrid's favourite players, but his contract expires at the end of the 2022-2023 season.

The club and the player have yet to find a formula to sign a new contract, which brings Nacho closer to a new experience, away from the Real Madrid where he grew up.

Verlan Mendy

The French full-back lost his place in the starting line-up for Real Madrid in favor of his compatriot Edouard Camavinga, so the Royal Club Madrid can sell him at the best price, especially since he is 27 years old, and his name has been linked to the English club Arsenal.

Danny Ceballos

A new player does not guarantee his continuity with Real Madrid next season, although every time he plays he makes a positive impact, but he has not managed to secure a fixed place in the starting line-up.

Eden Hazard

The newspaper "Sport" believes that the deal for Hazard is the worst in the history of Real Madrid, compared to his price and technical value, and in fact the "Merengue" dreams of getting rid of him, but the Belgian player insists on staying until the end of his contract in the summer of 2024.

Mariano Diaz

Mariano has never managed to be the perfect replacement for Karim Benzema, playing and playing only a few minutes no matter what the Real Madrid circumstance is.

With his contract coming to an end in June 2023, Diaz's future will inevitably be away from the "royal" club.

Marco Asensio

When Asensio comes off the bench, he often makes his mark and scores against rivals, but that hasn't helped him so far to reach an agreement to extend the contract, which expires at the end of this season.

All indications are that Asensio's future will be outside Real Madrid, with the closest destination being the Premier League.

Luka Modric

Unlike all of the above, despite reaching the age of 38, Modric's likelihood of survival is stronger than his departure.

According to Spanish reports, Real Madrid have agreed with Modric on all the terms of the new contract, and are only waiting for the official announcement, but the exit from the Champions League could bring things back to square one.

Even if the veteran is to be kept for another season, his role will be drastically reduced in favour of younger players.

Tony Cross

The newspaper "Sport" believes that Kroos' situation is very similar to that of Modric, as he will sign a new contract with the club for one season, to leave the following summer, but it is clear that he will not enjoy many minutes in the new season 2023-2024.

Danny Carvajal

Carvajal's form has clearly declined during the current season, and he has lost much of his luster with the team, and Real Madrid are looking to sign a new right-back, which could push Carvajal to leave, despite his contract expiring in June 2025.

Karim Benzema

The French striker's performance has decreased this season compared to the previous one, but Benzema is encouraged by his 2022 Ballon d'Or for the best player in the world.

Because of this, Real Madrid are on track to extend the government's contract for another season, but Florentino's plan includes signing a new striker to replace Benzema in the near future, specifically after the summer of 2024.
