Roland-Garros is back! The legendary Parisian Grand Slam returns from the end of May. 128 players will compete to try to win the competition. Qualifying, main draw, TV broadcast: don't miss anything of the biggest tennis event in France that Europe 1, the official radio station, will follow you.

Clay, sunshine, sunburn but above all beautiful game: Roland-Garros signs its comeback for a 2023 edition that promises to be thrilling. The legendary Porte d'Auteuil tournament will begin on May 22 and end on June 11. Europe 1, official radio of the event, will make you live this unmissable event throughout the fortnight.

The first racket strokes will be given during the qualifications. Only 128 players and 128 players will be able to play in the main draw but some of them will have to go through the three rounds of "qualif". These qualifiers take place over a week also called "Opening week", which will be held from Monday 22 to Friday 26 May. Once these are over, the main draw can start on Sunday 28 and end on Sunday 11 June with the men's final. Transition day between the end of qualifying and the 1st round, Saturday, May 27 will be a special day dedicated to Yannick Noah to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the last French victory at the Porte d'Auteuil.

Where to watch Roland-Garros?

Roland-Garros will again be broadcast unencrypted on the public service. The channels of the France Télévisions group, which had the TV rights to the Grand Slam until this year, won the tender and will continue to broadcast the event until 2027. Private channel Amazon Prime Video will also broadcast a few matches from the tournament.

TV Broadcast:

Before 14 p.m.: France 4 or France 3

After 14 p.m.: France 2

Simonne-Mathieu Court and evening session: Amazon Prime Video

For this 2023 edition, the qualifications will be broadcast on the France TV platform. As for the main round, the matches before 14pm will be followed on France 4 or France 3, or on France TV Sport. After 14 hours it will be necessary to switch to France 2 or on the platform. For its part, Prime Video will broadcast all matches played on Court Simonne-Mathieu, as well as matches scheduled in "night session", that is to say in evening session.
