Halmstad has defeated several big teams at home in the season opener and when Malmö FF came to visit Örjans Vall it was not an easy game beforehand.

Malmö FF dominated the game away against Halmstad and pushed for a lead goal from minute one.

But Halmstad stood deep and resisted. Although the away team had several attacks, there were not really any dangerous scoring chances. Until the final minutes of the first half when MFF got holes on Halmstad. Or?

Taha Ali found his way to Isaac Kiese Thelin who just poked the ball into an empty goal. But the referee waved for offside and the goal was disallowed. However, the replay indicated that it was probably not offside.

"That would have been a goal," commentator Johan Arneng told Discovery+.

The second half consisted mostly of MFF feverishly chasing a lead goal. HBK stepped up piecemeal, but it was mostly about when the ball would fall in for Malmö.

It looked like it was going to be a draw. But in the 96th (!) minute, Stefano Vecchia found his way to substitute Patriot Sejdiu who thundered in the winning goal for MFF.

I feel happiness. To come in the last five minutes and decide, it's really nice. It's a special feeling to decide matches, says Sejdiu after the match and continues:

"I had no idea how much time was left. I went to the cutback then I got it from Steffo (Vecchia). I'm pretty good at finishing so I thought in my head that it will be goals.
