Häcken was coming off a shock loss away to newcomer Halmstad ahead of the home meeting with Degerfors. But today there were other buns – Häcken drove over Degerfors from start to finish.

Already in the second minute, Benie Traore struck with the first goal of the match.

Then Degerfors striker Dijan Vukojevic struck with a super hit from long range. Post in and equalized on Hisingen.

"Oh my God, what a goal," says expert Nordin Gerzic in Discovery+.

But after that, the goals would just keep coming in for Häcken, who completely dominated the match. Ibrahim Sadiq, who made his comeback after several weeks of injury absence, added 2-1.

And before the half-time break, Amane Romeo and Simon Sandberg managed to push a goal each.

The second half began with Traore adding Häcken's fifth goal and about ten minutes later Momodou Sonko was substituted. And a minute later, he too had scored, it was the 18-year-old's first Allsvenskan goal. 6-1 to Häcken and a total overrun.

"It was incredible. I didn't expect it to happen so quickly. I came in, got my chance, and scored on it," Sonko told Discovery+.

There were considerably gloomier faces in the Degerfors camp.

"We just have to apologise to the fans for what we're doing right now. We thank the fans for the support, but right now they are not getting anything back, just apologize for it, says Sebastian Ohlsson in Discovery+.

There were no more goals and Häcken moves up to second place in the table. On Thursday they play the cup final against Mjällby. Degerfors has now conceded 14 goals in three games.
