Manchester City, who continued his uprising by achieving his ninth consecutive victory in the competition, rose to 79 points to return again to the lead, which he lost on Tuesday, a point ahead of the nearest pursuers Arsenal, knowing that the heavenly team still has a postponed match.

West Ham, who suffered their 18th loss in the competition this season and a third in a row, stopped at 34 points in 15th place.

Haaland broke the record for goals in a single season in the Premier League after scoring his team's second goal against West Ham.

The Norwegian striker turned Jack Grealish's pass into the goal in the 70th minute, to hold out the record he shared with Alan Shearer and Andy Cole.

Liverpool raised its tally to 59 points, four behind fourth-placed Manchester United, who have played two games less than their counterpart from the Merseyside area.

Fulham remained in tenth place with 45 points.

Issa Diop made a mistake to delay the visitors 6 minutes before the break.

Diop brought down striker Darwin Nunez to award a penalty that Salah successfully executed in the middle of the goal to score for the eighth consecutive game at Anfield.

Fulham almost equalised through Vinicius, but Alisson saved consistently in the 77th minute.

Liverpool held on to claim their fifth consecutive league victory.
