Jean Larqué Stadium

This match will have a special flavor for Jean-Michel Larqué, former glory of AS Saint-Étienne and active member of the VCF. His paternal grandmother was the goalkeeper of the stadium for many years and his father, Jean, also worked for several decades for this club in the city of Pau.

Moreover, the stadium where the JAB plays will be renamed in the name of Jean Larqué, the father of the famous midfielder of the 70s. "It was his life until he was 85. At that time, the stadium did not look like today. It was necessary to fill a canal and add the adjoining workers' gardens to make it a land to standards. I experienced a lot of family celebrations in this enclosure and I started football, "recalls Jean-Michel Larqué in the columns of Sud-Ouest.
