STCC Head 2 Head Göteborg is the name of the event and will be one of two city competitions in the calendar alongside Helsingborg, which premieres already this year. Here, two cars meet at a time on a track that is not yet presented. The exact location of the event will be revealed later in the season.

A prerequisite for the comeback to Gothenburg is the fully electrified championship with 550-horsepower racing cars.

– Now we have secured Gothenburg and Helsingborg for the STCC 2024 calendar and we are also in dialogue with more cities where our working hypothesis is to increase the proportion of city competitions alongside the traditional tracks, Bern continues.

The last time STCC was operated at the Port of Gothenburg was in 2014. This year's championship starts on July 8-9 with Västkustloppet in Falkenberg.
