– It will be a blast and very inspiring for me to get the chance. First I'm going to work on this and then take the next step at the new challenge," says 47-year-old Rahm from the locker room, which is quite calm after the intense celebrations on the ice.

Rahm was part of Växjö's leadership staff with Sam Hallam from 2011 to 2016, where the first Swedish Championship gold came in 2015. Then he went back to parent club HV71 and had four seasons there before he was fired in 2021 and came back to Växjö. For this season, Sam Hallam quit after three Swedish Championship gold medals with Växjö to become coach of Tre Kronor and Jörgen Jönsson won the Swedish Championship directly with Rahm by his side.

"I was a bit sprained as a person"

"It was nice to come back to this club and the organisation. I was a bit sprained as a person so I'm incredibly grateful for the helpfulness I've received here, says Rahm.

You're talking about being sprained?

– It was tough last year and sad that it happened, but I have put it behind me now. I've been part of the fun here and now we're aiming for a new gold," says Rahm.

The World Cup will be played May 12-28 and broadcast on SVT.
