Born in Catalonia to a Moroccan father and a mother from Equatorial Guinea, Amine Djamel chose to represent Spain at the junior and youth levels, playing for the U-15, U-16, U-17 and U-19 teams.
However, he can still join the Moroccan national team if he decides to change his sporting identity as he has not yet held the shirt of Spain's senior team.
