Pass, pass – goal. The puck moved quickly between the players as Los Angeles won the first game of the Stanley Cup Playoffs eighth round against Edmonton.

Star Anze Kopitar put the puck to Arvidsson, who was standing below the goal line, and the Swede quickly passed it on to Alexander Iafallo in the slot.

The American struck immediately and scored the decisive goal of extra time behind goalkeeper Stuart Skinner.

Prior to that, Adrian Kempe had scored two important goals – 1-2 and 2-3 – in Los Angeles' quest for the equalizer.

Big game from Gustavsson

A goal that came with 17 seconds left in the third period, and then Arvidsson was in the prelude to Kopitar's 3-3 goal.

Edmonton's Mattias Janmark recorded an assist, to the home team's lead goal through Leon Draisaitl.

Another Swede who played big was Filip Gustavsson.

Minnesota's 24-year-old goalie saved 52 of 54 shots — including one with the stick handle — and was a big reason why the away meeting with Dallas ended in a 3-2 victory.

Ryan Hartman scored in the second period of extra time.
