Qingdao, April 4 (ZXS) -- As the finale of the season, the 12/2022 National Figure Skating Championships kicked off in Qingdao, Shandong Province on the 2023th. The tournament attracted dozens of top Chinese skaters and will compete in four disciplines: men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dancing.

It is reported that the 2022/2023 National Figure Skating Championships will last for two days and will be hosted by the Chinese Figure Skating Association. National runner-up Han Wenbao and third place David Dai will appear in the men's singles event, and in the women's singles event, the national runner-up and third-place Li Ruoyao and Tong Ruichen will compete again, and Zhang Ruiyang and Chen Hongyi will also participate.

In pair skating, club league finalists and national champions Zhang Siyang and Yang Yongchao, as well as Yang Yixi and Deng Shunyang, who helped China secure two spots in pair skating at next season's World Youth Championships, will participate.

In the ice dance competition, the champions of the ST National Championship Chen Xizi and Xing Jianing led the competition, and this season's youth champions Lin Yufei and Gao Zijian made their debut in the offline national competition after a long time.

At the opening ceremony, Shen Xue, president of the Chinese Figure Skating Association, said that the championship is the second offline event of figure skating held in China after the new crown epidemic, and it is also the top figure skating competition in China, and only the top players in the points ranking are eligible to participate, they can represent the competitive level of China's top figure skaters.

Shen Xue looks forward to selecting better players through this championship. At the same time, she also hopes to use the event to build a platform for communication, training and learning, so that more people can understand and participate in figure skating, and popularize ice and snow sports.

According to reports, Qingdao, Shandong Province is one of the first important cities of the "North Ice South Exhibition" in China, and ice and snow sports are booming.
