A French report has revealed the future of veteran AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, with the reigning Serie A champions next season.

Zlatan, 41, expires with the Rossoneri on June 30, while doubts hover over his continuation with the team.

The site "Foot Mercato" (Foot Mercato) French, that the management of Milan is not considering extending the contract of Zlatan even if the player decides to stay.

The French site added that Milan is reluctant to extend Ibrahimovic's contract because of the player's physical condition, and the many injuries that afflict him.

Given this information, if Ibrahimovic decides to continue competing in football, it will be with another team and not Milan.

Ibrahimovic underwent surgery on his left knee towards the end of the last season 2021-2022, as a result of which he missed Milan in most of the matches this season.

Ibrahimovic returned to action on February 26, 2023, and made his debut for Milan against Atalanta on matchday 24 of Serie A.

The veteran Swede scored his first goal with Milan against Udinese on March 18 for the 27th round of the "Calcio", to become Zlatan the oldest player to score a goal in the history of the Italian league.

Ibrahimovic returned to Milan in January 2020 from the American team Los Angeles Galaxy.

The veteran striker also defended Milan's colours from 2010 to 2012.

Ibrahimovic wore the Milan shirt 163 times in all competitions, during both periods, scoring 93 goals in addition to 35 assists.

With Milan, Sultan won two Scudetto titles and a title in the Italian Super Cup.
