Hanna Öberg topped this list three seasons in a row, 2019-2021. But last year she was fourth, passed by her little sister Elvira. After this winter's success, the World Cup queen is once again the Swede with skiing as a profession who has brought in the most prize money, Tour de Ski winner Frida Karlsson is second.

"For me, the performances I do are the most important thing and the only thing that can affect the results that form the basis for the prize money. Then, of course, I am grateful that it results in dollars in the account.

Your partner Martin Ponsiluoma is third and sister Elvira is four, is it important to be the best in the family?

"At least I don't agree that there is any prestige in how much I earn versus those closest to me. I rejoice with their success.

Three years ago, you were the only one who went in over a million kronor in prize money. This year there are 13 of you – what do you say about that development?

"I really only have insight into biathlon and we have a very strong team that has become stable at the top. Then the IBU awards a lot of prize money and to many. It helps more people get the opportunity to make a living from the sport.

Of the first 14 on the list, twelve are ladies, why are you girls the best?

"Since there is equal prize money for both men and women, it depends on the results and that this winter the girls have done better than the boys.

Cliché question – but what will you do for the money?

"Martin and I have a house that we fix up a bit in, so in addition to pension savings, there are probably some things going there.
