It was at the score of 4-0 to Team Thoren, about halfway into the match, that Emelie Björklund scored the penalty from close range and the Falun players began to cheer.

But the referee, who was well placed near the situation, gestured to the players that it was not a goal at all. Björklund then hit the ground hard with the club in anger.

The two commentators on the television broadcast were equally convinced that it was a goal.

"You can see from the replay footage that the whole net hanging inside the goal is rocked by the ball hitting it. It is clearly in, says Linn Lundström, expert commentator in Expressen.

"Everyone except the judge..."

Falun's Emelie Björklund, who was last on the ball, was annoyed when she was interviewed during the break.

The commentators then stated that they were convinced that it was goals.

"It's everyone except the referee, so I don't really know where they were in the situation," Björklund replied.

Double mistakes by Falun

Prior to that, Falun had ended up at a 0-2 deficit after the first period after double mistakes.

First they dropped the ball near their own goal cage when Sofia Joelsson made it 1-0 after 15:59, and just a minute later Ebba Bognesand stumbled on the offensive half and was left lying on the ground. Then Myra Aggestål put the momentum forward and was behind Team Thorens 2-0.

The numbers ran out in the final period and the gold favorite from Umeå finally won the first semi-final with 10-3. They now lead the match series ahead of semi-final two which will be played in Falun on Sunday.
