A tie in matches was the score when the third meeting was decided in Växjö. It didn't take many minutes before the guests silenced the arena. Växjö's Hardy Hädman Aktell won the puck in his own zone, but struck with it. Frölunda's Andreas Borgman snatched it and served Ryan Lasch, diagonally across to the far surface.

Lasch pushed the puck in to make it 1–0 Frölunda, after just over a minute of play.

The second period was scoreless, and remarkably, the match bar contained a single penalty.

At the end of the game, Växjö pressed on, and Frölunda only defended by chipping pucks out of their own zone. It looked critical for the Gothenburgers in the final minutes, but they held off, despite Växjö taking out the goalkeeper and playing with one man more.

Frölunda won 1–0 and now have 2–1 in games.
