"Infinitely empowering"

Djordjic is proud of how he and the head coach handled the meeting on Wednesday.

"It was really a genuine and warm meeting, two people between people. Understanding is infinitely empowering and forgiveness is part of the healing process for both," he said.

The expert also says:

"To be able to find that bridge. It was very important to both of us. It was really stiff at first, but we sat there for over an hour talking about everything, what we talked about at least was football. It warmed that he wanted to understand me, wanted to listen to me, to my background and how many scars you had on the wall. And how deep those scars are, even though you've gotten older. You get reminded of things all the time.
