The Swedish men's national curling team is chasing its fifth consecutive World Cup gold. On Saturday, the championship began in Ottawa.
Sweden was pitted against Germany and stood for a dominant effort. Team Edin won the first round 4–0 and then rowed a confident 8–2 victory.
The Swedish team consists of skipper Niklas Edin, Oskar Eriksson, Rasmus Wrånå and Christoffer Sundgren.
On Sunday, Sweden will face the USA (15.00) and Scotland (20.00). Both matches are broadcast on SVT Play.
