Former French basketball player Tony Parker, star of the San Antonio Spurs, became this Saturday the first French player to enter the NBA Hall of Fame, which brings together the best players of all time in the American basketball league.

Tony Parker, four-time NBA champion with San Antonio, named best player of the finals in 2007, six-time All-Star, is the first Frenchman in history to enter the Hall of Fame, announced Saturday the prestigious institution. The former point guard will officially be a member of this "basketball hall of fame", along with two other Europeans, Germany's Dirk Nowitzki and Spain's Pau Gasol, as well as American Dwyane Wade, who is also admitted, at an induction ceremony scheduled for August 12 in Springfield, Massachusetts.
