It was speculated for a long time, and in mid-November Henrik Rydström signed as head coach of Malmö FF.

But the first few months have not been flawless. The team made it to the quarterfinals of the Swedish Cup but there it was a travel pass against Djurgården on penalties.

At the all-Swedish kick-off meeting, the media predicted that Malmö will finish in third place when the season is summed up in November. Team captain Anders Christiansen understands why.

"We have to accept that the media and experts have tipped two other teams that are better than us. They have the same coach and the same squad as last year. But if you come to Malmö and walk around here, there is only one thing, and that is to win," he says.

"Are you watching Arsenal..."

Christiansen also talks about what the relationship with Henrik Rydström is like.

" We have a fantastic relationship, it is probably Sweden's best coach right now who comes to Sweden's largest team so it is a match that I hope will be successful.

At the same time, the 32-year-old points out that you have to give Rydström and Malmö time.

"If you look at Arsenal now who have had three seasons to get to where they are now. Pep Guardiola's Manchester City likewise, it also took a long time there until they got to the level they are at today. But without comparing ourselves to Arsenal and City, we're trying to play in a complete way and put our attacking football. There will be periods where we do incredibly well and then there will be periods that are not good. But I think if we look long-term, it will be a success.
