The Chengdu Universiade will be held from July 2023 to August 7, 28. This is the third time that the Universiade has been held in Chinese mainland after the 8 Beijing Universiade and the 8 Shenzhen Universiade, and it is also the first time that Western China has hosted a world comprehensive games.

In order to better understand the preparations for the Chengdu Universiade, the Spring Meeting of Heads of Delegation to the Chengdu Universiade (referred to as the "Spring Group Meeting of the Chengdu Universiade") was held in Chengdu from March 3 to March 28. During the meeting, 3 delegations, 31 standing committee members including Renaud Eide, acting president of the FIPA, and 79 FISU officials, including Secretary General Eric Senchao, visited 7 competition venues and Universiade villages.

"When I first came to Chengdu, I was impressed by the venues. During this trip to Chengdu, I felt that Chengdu made full use of the existing conditions to improve the overall quality of the Universiade venues. Eric Senchao said that he noticed that the Chengdu Universiade has a digital museum open to students from all over the world, and the FIFA will work with Chengdu to better build it.

"The FISU is an institution that promotes solidarity, and we especially hope that in these difficult times, we can continue to promote world peace and solidarity among university students around the world." Eric Senchao said that delegations from various countries and regions participated in the "Spring League" of the Chengdu Universiade online and offline, which is also the best example of the Universiade promoting world peace and the unity of university students around the world.

Renault Eide, acting president of the FIF, said that the members of the delegation are very much looking forward to participating in the Chengdu Universiade, and the FIFA saw at this "Spring League" that Chengdu has made full preparations in various fields.
