Moroccan star Naseer Mezraoui, Bayern Munich's German player, ignited social media platforms with a humbled recitation of the Holy Quran, and revealed his dream of memorizing the Book of God.

The Moroccan star appeared, in a media interview on a YouTube channel, reciting Surat Al-Duha, in a beautiful voice during which he inspired the audience, and revealed a side of it that fans of the Bavarian star were not aware of.

Asked why Surah Al-Duha was recited, Mizrawi said: "I realize that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was revealed this Surah to him when he was going through difficult times, at a time when he felt like he was alone, and then these verses were revealed to him, that's why I like it, I also went through difficult times in my life. Worldly life doesn't make me emotional, only talking about our religion makes me so."

In the same context, "Mizrawi" said that he decided after the World Cup in Qatar 2022, to memorize the Holy Quran, noting that he reads the Quran in the month of Ramadan, but he does not do it much after Ramadan, and is ashamed of himself because of this.

"During my prayers, I only read some surahs and then I feel ashamed of that, and here I took the step of memorizing the Qur'an, my hopefully goal is to become a memorizer of the Qur'an, and then understand the Qur'an, make it (and apply it) in my life, and I also want to share this knowledge with people close to me, and in the end I want to become an imam," the Moroccan star added.

"I am currently following the instructions of my teacher Ayoub, a source of pride for me to be his student, you are an imam and you know the ideal way to memorize the Qur'an, I have to listen to advice to achieve my goals," Mazraoui told the interviewer.
