It was Emil Forsberg who became Sweden's first scorer in the ongoing European Championship qualifiers. This in a period of several chances for the Swedish side, which ultimately paid dividends.

Otherwise, the first half was not very convincing from Sweden, while Azerbaijan had several chances. But after just over an hour, 2-0 came. Alexander Isak hit a hard post and a running Bahlul Mustafazada bumped the ball into his own goal. A reassuring lead that also seemed to make Sweden play more relaxed – and then it completely loosened up.

Viktor Gyökeres scored 3-0, before the substitutes took over. After just a few minutes on the pitch, Jesper Karlsson got the chance with a free kick in the offensive position. He went straight for the finish and on power, resulting in a dream goal when the ball slammed into the left crossbar. It is the AZ player's first goal in the national team.

Last out in the goal protocol was Anthony Elanga who put 5-0. The second match of the European Championship qualifiers thus ended in a much-needed big victory for the Blue and Yellow.
