Morocco coach Walid Regraki said he "feels like he is in a dream", after the Atlas Lions achieved a historic 2-1 victory over Brazil in a friendly match held at dawn on Sunday in the Moroccan city of Tangier.

Morocco defeated the samba stars in the debut of their new interim coach Ramon Menezes, who succeeded former coach Tite, who resigned following Brazil's exit from the quarter-finals of the World Cup in Qatar.

Sofiane Boufal (Al Rayyan of Qatar) scored for Morocco in the 29th minute, then Casemiro (Manchester United) equalized for Brazil in the 67th minute, but Sabri tipped Morocco with 11 minutes to go.

Morocco's win confirms their international prestige after their spectacular performances at the World Cup in Qatar and their fourth place in the global event.

Morocco will meet Peru in a friendly on Tuesday.
