At the tournament, the Russians won three medals: Anastasia Demurchyan won in the weight category up to 70 kg, Natalia Sychugova took silver in the weight category up to 63 kg, Diana Pyatak became the bronze medalist in the category over 81 kg.

The first in the medal standings was the indian team (four golds), the second - the Chinese team (three gold, one silver and three bronze).

The International Boxing Association allowed Russians and Belarusians to participate in international competitions. Boxers performed under national flags, and in case of their victory, the national anthem was performed.

During the Demurchyan award ceremony, the Russian flag was raised, but instead of the national anthem, a fragment from Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 1 was played. Later, the organizers corrected the error and turned on the anthem of Russia.

Earlier, the head coach of the Russian women's boxing team Albert Mutalibov spoke about the suspension of Iman Khelif from Algeria from participating in the final match of the 2023 World Boxing Championships in New Delhi.
