Earlier in the week, reports emerged that Tottenham and Antonio Conte will go their separate ways. On Sunday night, the Premier League club confirmed that this will be the case.

Conte is sacked by Tottenham who are fourth in the English league.

"We can announce that head coach Antonio Conte has left the club by mutual agreement. We qualified for the Champions League in Antonio's first season at the club. We thank Antonio for his contribution and wish him the best of luck in the future," the club writes on its website.

The 53-year-old Italian was cleared as the new head coach of Tottenham in November 2021.

Former assistant coach Cristian Stellini will take charge for the rest of the season.
