Los Angeles is in a real scoring shoal, equalling the club record of eleven consecutive loss-free games (during regular time) in last night's meeting against Winnipeg. The last time Los Angeles scored points in so many consecutive games was the 2013–2014 season when they also won the Stanley Cup for the second time.

Two of Los Angeles' goals in the game were scored by Skellefteå-born 29-year-old Viktor Arvidsson. He has now scored four goals in the last four games and a total of 22 this season.

His first goal against Winnipeg came after just 82 seconds played in the first period. Trevor Moore won the toss in the offensive zone and sent the puck with a backhand to Arvidsson who flicked it into the goal with a wrist shot.

Second goal in open bag

The second goal of the evening was scored by Viktor Arvidsson in the open box 18:24 into the third period.

Los Angeles' Drew Doughty, who has also scored in four of the last five games and accounted for a goal and an assist against Winnipeg, believes the team's way of playing the last few scoring games is a winning concept.

"I think in the majority of the games we've won, we've pretty much beaten the other teams for almost 60 minutes. And that's something that's important to be able to do and bring into the playoffs," Doughty said.
