Coach TOHO Yamada: "The players fought tenaciously from start to finish"

Toho coach YAMADA Yusuke reflected on the match, saying, "The players fought tenaciously from start to finish, so we were able to bring the match to the way we wanted to play."

Regarding pitcher Ichihaya Yamakita, who started today's game with the number "10," he explained, "When I threw a little bit in the previous game, I had a good expression and I felt that I had gained courage on the mound, so I tried to start the game.

On the other hand, regarding the batting lineup, he said, "I assumed that the opposing pitcher would be a good pitcher, so I told the players, 'Let's swing the bat aggressively in the early stages and catch it after the second round.' In Koshien, the players in the middle are batting well, so I think that is giving the team momentum."
