It was in the 77th minute that the referee pointed to the penalty spot after Athenea del Castillo entered a duel with Barcelona's Salma Paralluelo. Fridolina Rolfö got the chance from eleven yards – and took it.

The Swedish striker placed the ball to the left of Real Madrid goalkeeper Misa Rodríguez who threw himself the other way.

The goal became the only goal of the match and Barcelona thus extended their winning streak in the league to 23 wins in as many games.

After the match, Rolfö posted a cheer picture on Instagram with the caption "This is how much it means".

Equally cheerful was not Real Madrid coach Alberto Toril who was disappointed with the referee's decision in the penalty situation.

"I saw right away that it wasn't punishment and when you look at the pictures, I think everyone sees that it's not punishment," Toril said in an interview with the club's social media.
