He is not very hopeful about coming into play when the European Championship qualifiers continue in a few days, at home against Azerbaijan at the Friends arena.

"When I limp as I do now, it doesn't feel optimal. You never know, but it hurts a little bit now," he says.

In connection with Romelu Lukaku's 3–0 at the end, he got substitute Viktor Claesson over him.

"He tried to help and then I got all his weight over me.

Lack of playing time

Augustinsson writhed in agony and was promptly replaced by Gabriel Gudmundsson. A sad end to a very difficult evening for the left-back. Augustinsson, on loan in Mallorca from Sevilla, suffers from a lack of game time this season. It was clear a few times against Belgium.

He had big problems with Dodi Lukebiako, who played until Lukaku's first two goals.

"There were situations where I could have done better. Obviously, if you come here with ten 90-minute games behind you, you might be in top shape.

Punishing us

Head coach Janne Andersson questioned why so many of his players slipped and lost their balance.

Augustinsson:

"We have the shoes and studs we're supposed to have, but the plan is letting go a little bit. That's something we'll have to look at. It was surprising that we slipped so much.

Augustinsson on Belgium:

"They're skilled, a world team. We had a few positions, a ball on the goal line and some situations where we either slip or make hasty decisions. We didn't get the ball in and then they punish us.

"They showed their class a few times and then it's 3-0. Maybe they shouldn't have been allowed to score 3-0 but so does a world nation.

"We know we can do better, but there were also things that were good and that we can take with us," he says.
