It was during the European Championship match against Switzerland that Caroline Seger last played a competitive match. A heel injury forced the 38-year-old into surgery and on Friday night the midfielder finally had to make a comeback.

When Seger was substituted in the 66th minute, she was met with great cheers by Rosengård's home crowd.

She also looked to be happy with a premiership win against Piteå – but the away team equalised late in the game. Directly on kickoff, both teams' players gathered in a ring, while the crowd applauded.

Loreta Kullashi was in a great position to make it 1-0 in the first half, but Samantha Murphy stood in the way with a fine leg parade. Worrying for the home side was that Olivia Schough was forced to step down with a feared hip injury.

Kullashi instead had to take revenge in the second half, when she nodded in 1-0 after a corner. Rosengård maintained the lead for a long time, but Hanna Andersson equalised in the 85th minute. Caroline Seger was unfortunately involved in the backwards goal, as she nodded the ball backwards to Andersson after a set-piece situation.

The goal was the last of the match and thus the reigning champions did not get the start to the season that they had hoped for.
