Dejan Kulusevski got Sweden's best scoring chance in the first half. However, the Tottenham star's finish was saved on the goal line and Sweden had to keep chasing a goal.

Instead, it was Belgium that took the lead. After a post from the right wing, Romelu Lukaku was able to nod in 1–0. The Blue and Yellow also got off to a nightmare start to the second half, as Lukaku became a two-goal scorer as he pushed in 2-0 from close range.

The big cheer of the evening at Friends arena came in the 73rd minute, when Zlatan Ibrahimovic jumped into the match. The 41-year-old striker replaced Alexander Isak.

Lukaku then scored a hat-trick in the 82nd minute, setting the final score at 3-0.

Sweden and Belgium play in the same European Championship qualifying group as Azerbaijan, Estonia and Austria. The top two teams will be directly qualified for the European Championships in Germany in 2024.
