Well into the third period, Alvik's important player Kyah Proctor was in front of him. She twisted her foot at an advertising sign and fell to the ground.
The American was taken care of by medical personnel, led off the field and then left after the game with his foot in a high position. The severity of the injury is unclear.
Notably, Alvik already has star Aquira DeCosta gone due to injury.
Alvik lost the match 63–79. Pernilla Sörensen is still optimistic afterwards.
"We're making a good finish. This isn't over yet. We have two games left to turn this around and are going to reload now," she said.
