Ahead of the World Figure Skating Championships opening in Saitama Prefecture on the 22nd, Masama Uno, who is aiming for a second consecutive men's singles title, made adjustments at the rink at the venue.

The World Figure Skating Championships, which will be held in Japan for the first time in four years, will be held at Saitama Super Arena in Saitama Prefecture from 4 to 22 this month.

Uno, who is aiming to win his second consecutive men's singles title, entered the rink before noon on the 26nd and spent most of his practice time adjusting the three quadruple jumps of loop, sarcoe, and flip in the first half of the free jump.

After the practice, Uno revealed that he was not in good shape with his jumping, and said with a stern expression, "I am desperate for what is in front of me, but I will do my best until the end so that I don't get overwhelmed.

In addition, Kazuki Tomono in the men's singles and Sota Yamamoto, who competed for the first time, performed a short program song and scored a quadruple jump, showing that they were in good condition.

Yanaka Muramoto and Daisuke Takahashi, who will be competing in ice dancing, practiced from after 8 a.m. and carefully checked the flow from the beginning, steps, lifts, etc. by playing the rhythm dance song of the first half.

After the practice, Muramoto showed a satisfied expression, saying, "I went to the venue with confidence because I practiced a lot."

Takahashi, who will be competing in the World Championships in Japan for the first time in 16 years, was enthusiastic, saying, "The first time I won a medal at the World Championships was in Japan, and I want to come back as an ice dancer like this, and I want to make it the best memory for me and aim for the best performance that I will never regret."

The first day of the tournament will be held on the 21st, with the first half of the short program for both pairs and women's singles.
