Oliver Solberg along with co-driver Elliott Edmondson were fourth ahead of the final stage of the World Rally Championship in Mexico. And it turned out to be an eventful day. Quickly, the duo were able to pick up a place as Ardrien Fourmaux in second place suffered engine problems.

But Solberg himself would also have problems with the engine before the end of the race. He himself did not understand what was happening, but he completed the race in just three cylinders. Despite that, he managed to hold off and clinch third place.

- I was trying to understand what went wrong. But I've struggled, I drove as hard as I could here and only lost five seconds so the run was good enough. It's been a great week. Without the problems, we know how it could have turned out, but P3 is great for the championship anyway, says Solberg in C More's broadcast.

In the top flight, Sébastien Ogier took his 56th career World Cup victory. In second place Thierry Neville and Elfyn Evans finished third.
