Team Anna Hasselborg, who took Olympic bronze in Beijing last year, is currently ninth in the world rankings where as many as five (!) Canadian teams are ahead.

Number one on the list? Team Kerri Einarson who also clinched the World Cup spot.

The Canadian star team is making its first ever championship on European soil, and is also visiting Sweden for the first time.

SVT Sport was present during the team's first training session in Gävle, where the hall is filled with posters of the rivals in Lag Hasselborg.

"It's great to see all the support they get on their home turf. It's an honour to be here in Sweden for the first time and we always have really good games against them so we're looking forward to facing them on their home turf," says Einarson.

"Butterflies in the stomach"

What's it like to represent Canada where only gold matters?

"There are always butterflies in the stomach. It is not easy to carry the maple leaf. Every team wants to beat Canada and you have a target on your back.

Do you like that?

"Yes, I don't mind, I think it makes us play better.

Sweden and Canada will meet tomorrow, Saturday, during the first day of the World Cup in Sandviken. The match starts at 19.00 in SVT24 and all broadcast times can be found here.
