Zlatan Ibrahimovic recently made a comeback for Milan after a nine-month absence following knee surgery. Now the 41-year-old football star is selected in Sweden's squad, which at the end of March will face Belgium and Azerbaijan in the European Championship qualifiers.

"We've had contact on and off, we agreed that he feels good after the break-ins and that he can add on the pitch. His personality and sadness are good even on the side of the field. The idea is that he will contribute on the pitch, otherwise I would not have taken him out," Andersson said at the press conference.

A total of 26 players are selected in the squad. Sweden begins the qualifiers with double home games, against Belgium on March 24 and against Azerbaijan three days later.

The other teams in Sweden's group are Austria and Estonia. The championship will be played in Germany in 2024.
